Navajo artist, Juliana Williams, put time, energy and care into making this beautiful turquoise Sun Wheel Statement Necklace.  130 individual turquoise stones were hand shaped and bezel set in sterling silver to create this stunning piece.  The stones are set upon sterling silver plates and detailed with rope twists, sterling silver beads and sterling silver wire. The background oxidation brings out the detail and adds depth.  The connections are all, thick gauge handmade sterling silver to ensure stability and security.  The handmade chain is adjustable.  

The Sun symbol is of great importance to the Navajo Tribe.  The sun was honored by them as the provider of light, heat and growth. The rays of the sun signified the cardinal directions, North, South, East and West.
